I’ve become one of those people who carries a camera at all times, and isn’t afraid to use it. My favourite subjects are buildings, graffiti and sunsets, and I enjoy reworking my photos to see what new framings or renderings will create an entirely new work. My current obsession is handmaking photo transfers on wood blocks, which creates an interesting distressed look to the greyscale prints.
About the Wood Block Prints:
My wood blocks – generally pine, spruce or fir – are selected for interesting grain effects and cut into approximate squares. Note that the nominal sizes are always smaller than the rough sizes listed. Precise sizes have been listed as “true”; all others are usually .5” off the listed size. The manual process can sometimes impart a distressed look to the photos. And the wood grain differs from block to block. These factors result in each block being an entirely unique piece of art; no two are alike. Wood blocks are shipped without any holes or mounting equipment. For hanging, I recommend Command Strips or Velcro tape. In lieu of hanging, the blocks can stand solidly on a shelf, desk or mantelpiece.
Terms and Conditions:
Wood block prints are all custom made by hand. Please allow 1-2 weeks for your item to be shipped. Items are shipped via Canada Post parcel service and include a tracking number and insurance up to $100. International delivery is approximately 10-20 business days, with US and Canadian orders being shorter. Customers are responsible for paying any import duties or taxes that may result. Should the block become damaged in shipment and arrive in a damaged condition, please notify us within 5 days of receipt.
Please insure you correctly enter your shipping information at checkout: I cannot reship items returned because of incorrect addresses.
I offer a satisfaction guarantee for all my pieces. If you are unhappy with your purchase, return the item in salable condition and I will refund the purchase price. (Shipping either way will not be reimbursed.) All sales are final for custom orders or items returned in damaged condition. I will replace a damaged or incorrect item upon receipt, but I do not grant refunds for goods that have not been returned in salable condition.
